A study published in theJournal of Sexual Medicinehas shown that the anti-impotence drug Viagra could lead to long-term sexual activity in some patients who took the drug. Those who took Viagra had an average of 4.4 hours of sexual activity per week, compared with 4.7 hours in the group who took Cialis. Those who took the drug had no sexual response or sexual distress.
The study, which was published inThe Journal of Sexual Medicine, also found that men who took Viagra had an average of 4.4 hours of sexual activity per week, compared to 3.8 hours in the group who did not take the drug. These results are the first published in a peer-reviewed journal to show that the drug could have long-term benefits for erectile dysfunction patients.
